ABOUT ME

DSC07503-Edit.jpg

For over 7 years I have been working with individuals, couples and families as an experienced psychotherapist and relationship therapist. My training and academic degrees are in Business Psychology, Imago Relationship Therapy and Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have worked within the Royal Free Hospital liaison psychiatric services and now run my private clinic.

I am based in Central London where I see clients in person but also offer online therapy via zoom.

I'm registered with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), the largest professional body representing counselling and psychotherapy in the UK.  I abide by their Code of Ethics.

I work in an open, warm and non-judgemental way and am passionate about helping my clients build up their esteem, navigate complicated family and relationship dynamics and free themselves from their emotional blocks. I help clients navigate their way to gaining insight and a deeper understanding of their behaviour patterns.

For me, being a psychotherapist is about being supportive  while guiding clients to change limiting beliefs so they can clear their minds and create distance from their emotional blocks. It is the safe relationships I create with my clients that help them grow in self- esteem and self- worth.

I am a supportive and empathetic therapist trained in a variety of theoretical approaches. Integrative therapy allows me to carefully tailor the specific needs of individuals, couples and families, talking or working creatively through art, sand, visualisations, dreams and creative imagination.

Working this way allows me to find an approach that suits my clients’ needs. Through working from a range of learned skills, I use a variety of different methods which draw from different practices and theorists such as humanistic, person-centred, psychodynamic, CBT, Kleinian, Gestalt & the Transpersonal.

TRAINING & ACCREDITATION

I am a qualified and registered integrative transpersonal psychotherapist and counsellor with over 6 years experience working with individuals and couples and family members in various capacities. My foundation in psychotherapy and counselling was completed at The Minster Centre in London and I went on to train and qualify as a psychotherapist and counsellor at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE), in London.

I completed a combined academic and experiential five year postgraduate diploma which is accredited by both UKCP and BACP.

I adhere to both of these accredited boards ethical frameworks. As well as being a qualified integrative transpersonal psychotherapist and counsellor, I am also a qualified Imago Relationship Therapist, where the focus is on issues between romantic couples and issues between family members.

With over 6 years years of study, research and working with clients, I undertake monthly supervision for my individual client work and for my relationship therapy clients, while making sure I keep up to date with developments in both fields with regular CPD training.
